Dottie!

Hi there,
Well my very first dottie card! I made this along the lines of a female theme for Cutecard thursday using the sketch from Mypaper world. A very quick card as I'm shattered but I just had to play with my new Dottie downloads. Printed and punched a couple of flowers as I didn't have any that would go, I definately need to invest in some more flowers for my stash.

papertake weekly

Hi,
Based this card on Katharinas sketch at papertake weekly. I got a fab trimcraft goody bag last week, loads in it, and decided to use the birthday papers on this card. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils.

Black/White + One

Hi there,

Managed to get a card done for the current caardvarks challenge, which is to create a card using black and white plus one other colour of your choosing. This instantly seemed to lend itself to a pink petticoat card and my other colour of choice PINK! I was reading on Katharina's blog about how she uses ribbons and I was inspired to use a slit punch to thread my ribbon through the patterned paper. The image was coloured ( well highlighted really not that much colour) with a pink metallic gel pen. I get the feeling I have seen the layout I've used for this card before but I have no idea where so if I have cased your card please tell me and I'll credit it to you.

Hi,
I've just been blog hopping and popped back to let you know that Tara is giving away some candy on her blog Tarasdesigns. Why don't you pop on over and take a peek.

All that glitters

Hi there,

Just a quick card today. This is for the penny black challenge P on the Docrafts forum (DC) but I also made it with the papertake weekly challenge in mind hence the glitter card. The extra on the pb challenge was to use punches so I punched out a dragonfly and coated him with crystal stickles. The image is one I got in a PB swap on DC which was organised by sarah, a big thankyou. I coloured it with brush markers. Oh and a quick tip which actually relates to the clear stamp set I used yesterday. Don't wash your tiny clear stamps under a running tap without putting the plug in, if you drop them they get washed down the plug hole lol. Luckily I rescued it from the water trap but lesson learned!

Funky Fairy & Cute Card Thursday

Hi there,

Finally got to craft again today feels like a lifetime even though its only been a week lol! This card is for two challenges again this week, funky fairy wanted stars and stripes and CCT wanted cards for men and boys. I stamped the stars onto bazzill basic to use as a background for the cuddlybuddly image and the orange stripy paper was a free download ages ago from funky fairy. The eyelets were an addition after I had finished the card as it looked as if something was missing.

Cute Card Thursday, Daringcardmakers & Caardvarks

Hi there,

Well a better day today, I got some crafting done when I had thought I would have no time and managed to make the card for CCT that I started yesterday but ended in disaster . Imagine my suprise when I checked out DCM to find they wanted butterfly cards and that was the stamp I had choosen for CCT and Caardvarks wanted winged things as well so 3 in 1! Butterflys and dragonflies are the only winged things I have ( I have to confess I am Tildaless but I love that image with the wings).I thought this particular image looked quite cartoonish,I hope that passes as cute.

The card is based on a sketch by Di Hickman. I'm using sketch's quite a lot lately but I find it gives me a starting point and a lot less to think about lol. Coloured yet again with the hobbyart pearly watercolours, I seem to be addicted to these at the moment. Oh yes and I'm starting early for Valentines.

One of those days!

Hi there,
Do you ever have one of those days where nothing goes right? Well I sure had one today. I started to make a card for CCT and everything went wrong. I ruined my scallops, cut my circles to small, painted over the lines on the image to name but a few. I finally got it all together and decided to make a last minute change after I had assembled the card, you guessed total c...... up! and ruined the whole card so I gave up. No chance to craft for the next four or five days so I guess that will be another late entry for me!

Cutecard Thursday

Hi there, been on holiday with the kids during their easter hols so haven't made any cards for couple of weeks. This one is for cutecard thursday but only just in time. I was checking out some challenge blogs when I spotted the transport theme on cct and just had to do it as I've been looking for an excuse to use my new stampin up! set. When I checked out the design team cards one of them had already used it but he ho its the only transport stamp I've got. Don't these challenge blogs make you realise you really dooooo need more craft stuff lol.

Now don't laugh but I didn't set out with this card in mind when I started but flicking through my papers. I thought the white stripe on this paper looked like a road through a tropical jungle ( I said don't laugh! ha ha) so that's how this particular card came about. Its coloured with pearly watercolours, the idea was to make the truck look like metallic paint but I don't think it worked.
