papertake weekly

Hi,
Based this card on Katharinas sketch at papertake weekly. I got a fab trimcraft goody bag last week, loads in it, and decided to use the birthday papers on this card. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils.

Card stock: bazzil basic and the papermill
Patterened paper: Dovecraft

Black/White + One

Hi there,

Managed to get a card done for the current caardvarks challenge, which is to create a card using black and white plus one other colour of your choosing. This instantly seemed to lend itself to a pink petticoat card and my other colour of choice PINK! I was reading on Katharina's blog about how she uses ribbons and I was inspired to use a slit punch to thread my ribbon through the patterned paper. The image was coloured ( well highlighted really not that much colour) with a pink metallic gel pen. I get the feeling I have seen the layout I've used for this card before but I have no idea where so if I have cased your card please tell me and I'll credit it to you.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hi There,
Decided to try some sketch challenges this week and found this one on papertake weekly. This is my first attempt at paper piecing. I used a pink petticoat image as I have seen some fantastic examples of paper piecing with these images on the do crafts forum. Not that it shows very well on the scan (I think my camera has given up all together!) but the necklace and bracelet are tiny gems and I used some stickles in the glass. Hope you like it.

Supplies:

Image Lola by pink petticoat
patterned papers freebie in crafts beautiful mag
Gems from lakeland
Crystal stickles
Ribbon from a selection at Hobbycraft
