Weather with you

Hi there,

Just wanted to share this card that I made for the 'weather with you' papertake weekly challenge a couple of weeks ago. Not a great card but the reason I wanted to share it with you is the image. This image is by Louise Brigden who is a very talented lady. If you haven't visited her blog yet you should it's inspirational! Louise was kind enough to give this image away on her blog, thankyou louise I'm sure I will use this image often. I coloured the image with pearly watercolours.

My paper world #7 & DCM little extra

Hi,
I think I may have managed a double challenge!! I made this card for sketch challenge #7 at My Paper World but then I came across daring card makers midweek extra challenge, this is what they said:

"Our midweek Little Extra is titled ‘The Flowers That Bloom In The Spring’ and we would like you to create a card with flowers.Simple? Aww but hold on…….there’s a little twist because we don’t want to make it too easy for you. We want your cards to have flowers on but we don’t want to see any Prima’s or shop brought blooms. The idea of this dare is for you create your flowers yourself, so let’s see what you can come up with."

I didn't have any flowers in my stash that fitted with the colour scheme I had choosen so I punched and printed some, reckon that fits don't you? I have had this stamp for a while but not thought of a way to use it. When I saw this sketch it seemed perfect for it, hope you agree.

Supplies:
Swirly paper pink petticoat
Stamp by Anita's

I think I might use this for my MIL's birthday as she loves cats but haven't got just the right sentiment yet, I'll have to a search through my stash.

Thanks for looking

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hi There,
Decided to try some sketch challenges this week and found this one on papertake weekly. This is my first attempt at paper piecing. I used a pink petticoat image as I have seen some fantastic examples of paper piecing with these images on the do crafts forum. Not that it shows very well on the scan (I think my camera has given up all together!) but the necklace and bracelet are tiny gems and I used some stickles in the glass. Hope you like it.

Supplies:

Image Lola by pink petticoat
patterned papers freebie in crafts beautiful mag
Gems from lakeland
Crystal stickles
Ribbon from a selection at Hobbycraft

Thanks for looking

Hello and welcome

Hello there,

I finally decided to join the blog wagon. My main aim is to use this blog to display entries to other blog challenges, after all practice makes perfect I hope. Forgive me if at first it's plain and boring as I think computer technology may be beyond me lol, and I have no idea if I will manage to blog regularly but I will try. I am primarily a card maker with the odd treatbox thrown in. I have even been known to scrap but you'll see from the photo's I upload why that's not my main interest lol.

Well here is my first card that was made for a penny Black challenge on the Docrafts forum
Patterned paper spring life by paper mania
stamped image on bag charm Penny Black Everywhichway.
Thanks for looking. Julia
